Refund & Cancellation Policy
We understand that travel plans can change. Here is everything you need to know about cancelling or modifying your Calcutta Collective booking.

Cancellation by the Guest

If you have paid the full tour amount in advance and cancel more than 48 hours before the tour, the full amount will be refunded less any payment processing fees charged by our payment provider.
To cancel, please contact us at info@calcuttacollective.com or via WhatsApp with your booking reference number.
How to Request a Refund
- Contact us by email at info@calcuttacollective.com or on WhatsApp at least 48 hours before your tour start time.
- Provide your booking reference number and the reason for cancellation.
- Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
- You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been initiated.
Rescheduling
We are happy to reschedule your tour at no extra charge if you notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Rescheduling is subject to guide and vehicle availability on your new preferred date. Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the tour are at our discretion and may incur a rescheduling fee.
Cancellation by Calcutta Collective
In the rare event that we need to cancel your tour — due to severe weather, a guide emergency, or circumstances beyond our control — you will receive:
- A full refund of any amount paid, or
- An equivalent alternative tour date at your preference.
We will notify you as early as possible and work with you to find the best resolution.
Force Majeure
No refund or compensation is due if a cancellation or interruption is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest, government travel advisories, pandemic-related restrictions, or acts of God. We recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect against such events.
Deposits & Partial Payments
The 25% deposit charged at the time of booking is non-refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of the tour. If we cancel the tour for any reason within our control, the deposit will be refunded in full.
Any balance paid in full in advance will be refunded according to the table above, subject to payment processing fees.
Payment Processing Fees
Refunds may be subject to payment processing fees charged by our payment gateway provider. These fees are non-recoverable and will be deducted from the refunded amount. We will inform you of any applicable fees before processing your refund.
